hood clearance/ manifold
Question? I am intending on swapping my existing crossfire manifold and dual throttlebodies and going to an edelbrock performer TM or a RPM along with a 454 TBI or later or an aftermarket TBI system. I thought I heard of someone that ran a different manifold on the crossfires and it fit under stock hood on a 1984? I am aware of the X Ram and the Offy but looking for lower cost.... I was told it may? not fit by edelbrock but they were not real sure ???

The RPM would be close. They are a little taller than a victor jr and that just fits with a carb. Is the 454 injector taller than a carb? Have you tried http://www.crossfire.homeip.net:81/cftest/
that is a board just for the crossfire owners. Have you given any thought to the ECM?
