I just bought a shift improver kit and was hoping to put it in this weekend. Street/Strip of course. Anyone else already done this and how do you like it?
Re: Shift Kit.. Whos got one and how do you like it. (corvette0096)
I put in a complete "Transgo" kit, extra clutch's, heavier springs, shift kit, etc, man I love it ! ! ! ! ! Should have done it years ago . . . . . At the same time I swapped out the diff, went from 2.59 to 3.59 gear set, It was like getting in a different car . . . . . . You should really enjoy the difference.. :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

I have the B&M. Chirps 2nd at 1/2 throttle, spins at full throttle. 2nd is a little hard for street driving though. Thinking about removing one of the spacers in the 2nd accumulator.
When you re-install the pressure regulator, be sure you have the snap ring in correctly, or it will spit the regulator back into the pan. Mine did it twice before I finally got it seated right.
If you can afford the Trans-go, it will give you manual shifting capability, whereas the B&M doesn't.

I got the B&M kit. It was only like 26 bucks at Ramchargers.
I got it in tonight and really its kinda late to really test it but I took a couple of quick runs and It is definitly what I wanted. She Squacks into second when you want it to and shifts nice and firm. Im glad so far but I'll let ya know tommorrow after a full day of "Testing" ;)
I did check the little snap ring...Like 50 times...I was worried about it too. But everything looked good and so far shes running great!
