I have been fighting with my idle for over a month. It was too high like 12-1500. I did all the usual stuff starting with cleaning, and then replacing the IAC. Still the idle would not come down. Today I gave up and stopped by TPIS and got a 52mm throttle body. The difference is like day and night - perfect idle and great performance!
Any one looking for a new throttle body I would suggest TPIS!

Something was wrong with your stock 48mm one. or the TPS, or something else that is on the stock one. I can't see the larger port making a life-saving difference in idle speed. just my $.02... gald to hear a problem is solved... I will say it's nice to have problems fixed with new, bigger, better parts!
I am lucky that TPIS is close to home. I took the old TB to them and they told me that it was sticking under vacuum. That is why I had to keep kicking down the idle.
The local Chevy garage didn't have a clue what was wrong when I had them look at my idle. Besides, bigger is better!
