Default 1984 Manual fuel pump

So I tried to use the ALDL to run the fuel pump and it did not work. I then checked the fuse. It is good. According to the flow chart I should disconnect the relay and probe terminal E got a light. Then I should proble E to B should get a light no light open ground. So i decided that I should run a wire from Terminal B to the neg of the battery. Then probe E to B. did that still no light. Tried probing terminal E key on to ground. Lost my light. The fuse is still good. I found two fuseable links just off the battery. The flow chart says that something is wrong with circuit 340. According to the charts there is a fuseable link in CKT 340 does does anyone know where it is.
Oh and one question if I ran a hot wire and switch to the fuel pump for startup, would I be doing damage to the car.
Actually I REALLY want to fix this the correct way. Please help thank you

If you have the FSM, fig.8A-9 shows C341 left of the battery, this is the battery side of the fusible link feeding C340..It s/b with another link that feeds the cooling fan..

No
Have you done that to confirm the pump works?

On early cars ,many power feeds and their fusible links come straight of the starter Pos+ terminal , not the Batt+

Oddly enough I thought of that. So I started the car. I did not prime it with start fluid. I cranked the starter and when it said 12 lbs the car started. I just hate riding the starter.
so yes the fuel pump works.

Actually I did the G terminal thong just to run through the decision tree. I know the pump works or the car would not run at all correct.

So to clarify what you are saying
The pump works.
The pump runs of the OP switch ( so the power supply to the relay through the fusible link is good )
The pump won't run off the relay because the relay ground (B) is bad

Jumper E to A on the connector to see if the pump runs and the relay wiring is good

When you do the ALDL G terminal thing the fuel pump relay has to OFF to run the fuel pump (the relay also has to be plugged in -- the connection goes through the normally CLOSED contacts of the relay to the pump).

Oops. vetteoz posted between the time I started reading and the time I posted...

You can see from the diagram that the ALDL G terminal connects to pin D of the relay (the diagram shows the relay in the off position) and then goes through the wiper arm to terminal A of the relay and on to the fuel pump.
