Bad gas solutionS?
in an environment producing condensation, especially, since you have been recirculating it through the filters.
If you want to rid the tank of 'old' gas, use a hand pump.
From the following link:
Black smoke:
Can be an indication of a rich fuel condition. These are possible causes:
Fuel Injectors: A leaking or dripping fuel injector will cause a rich fuel condition.
Fuel Pressure Regulator: A stuck closed fuel pressure regulator will cause a rich fuel condition.
Fuel Return: A restricted fuel return line will cause a rich fuel condition.

Actually, you can take a piece of pipe, I use copper, about 3 ft long, and then attach a hose to that. I use a piece of clear vinyl tubing about 4-5 ft long. The pipe goes through the filler neck and straight to the bottom of the tank, in the lowest place. I then suck it out of there, and what little is left, start the motor up and let it run until it dies. Its only about a qt of fuel. I have done this several times switching from pump gas to e85
a time. Check for trouble codes. http://tech.corvettecentral.com/2011...trouble-codes/
If no codes, either remove the fuel, or fill the tank, and change the filters. Usually, and I stress usually, the opti either works, or it doesn't. Seldom is it intermittent.
See how the vette responds to new fuel........ next would be the injectors. Don't panic.
