Default Crossfire tuning/mods

I have had this car for a couple months now, been plugging away at all the little problems on it, and now I'm to playing with the engine. The car runs well, and someone else has installed a weiand intake with a crossfire II x-ram. I know it has a different cam installed, but I don't know what it is, so I plan on finding that out when I pull the heads. My question is about some heads I have a chance of getting, some 041 heads machined for screw in studs. I can get them cheap, and can do the guides, valves and seats myself, but would have to have them surfaced and magnafluxed by someone. I figure they would be better than the 624's that are on it now, and would be plenty good enough for my needs and budget, but I wonder if anyone else has used these on a crossfire before, and if I would get too much compression ratio increase from the smaller chambers. The car runs ok now, but I suspect a crack in one of the heads, and I'm trying to find a low buck head that's better than what I have now.
