Default '84 coupe seatback

Can anyone explain how to release the seatback cushion? The bottom cushion is no problem, but can't seem to find any release clips on the seat back.

This is going to be tough to explain, but I'll try. Start at the head rest about the middle of it on either side. Push sideways on the foam and you should feel it unhook. There is a wire molded into the foam that snaps into a spring clip on the seat back. There will be one on each side of the head rest. (2 per seat) Once the head rest is loose, lean the foam pad forward and reach behind it, down about 3/4's of the way there will be a wire bail that snaps into a couple more spring clips on the seat back. Pop them loose and remove the pad. Going back on is just the reverse, but the head rest is really tough to snap the wires back into place.

Good Luck,
Dave

Thanks for the explanation Dave. Do you know if '87 sport seats work the same way? I've only had the bottoms out before. :) ~Juliet
