If this were a "normal" tranny I would, but I have to be careful. One of the biggest problems with the 4+3 is if the 4-speed's fluids get through the seals on the overdrive unit. If this happens, it cooks the overdrive.
What recommendation gets the Mobil 1 in the OD unit? Is that just factory spec? Just wondering, I'm always learning...
I was told by one of the guys that used to rebuild that at http://www.gearzone.net that they recommended it. When I switched over to it I did notice much better shifting.
I asked the same question last week on the forum and got only one response :( , so I posted over at Gearzone. They told me to run Mobil 1 gearlube in the manual, and had previously answered both you and I to go ahead and use Mobil 1 ATF in the O/D. Hope they're right, I changed the fluids out 2 days ago!
