[4+3]: Fluids one last time.
Ok I have to R&R my tranny again this weekend. I will have Mobil 1 Synth in the OD unit, but am still undecided as of what to go with on the 4-speed.

What did you put in it when you replaced it?
Redline Synth 75w90 recommends not using it in manual transmissions as the extreme slippliness may cause gear clashing.
I've got Mobil 1 Synth 75w90 in the T-10, Mobil 1 Synth in the OD unit and Redline Synth 75w90 is the Dana 44.

I've seen testimony from racers with the D4 ATF fluid in their manual trans. I don't know enough to recommend.
Probably the guys at RL tech support would try to know their product well enough to not screw you up if you call and ask...
What recommendation gets the Mobil 1 in the OD unit? Is that just factory spec? Just wondering, I'm always learning...

I asked the same question last week on the forum and got only one response :( , so I posted over at Gearzone. They told me to run Mobil 1 gearlube in the manual, and had previously answered both you and I to go ahead and use Mobil 1 ATF in the O/D. Hope they're right, I changed the fluids out 2 days ago!
