New here, but not to GM products. Have a 93 that will stall at times. It can happen sitting at a light, or driving down the road. When it does happen while going down the highway, the tach bounces from 0-4000 loses power and sometimes the check engine light comes on. Checked codes H16. Before I go and spend money on parts that may not repair the problem, and ideas what could cause this other than the optispark? Car has 40,000 miles on it so I am sure it has original optispark. Records from previous owner show cap and rotor, water pump and plug wires relplaced 7000 miles ago. Thanks for any help and info you can give me.
Thanks... I have checked that harness and there is no corrosion etc. Car has always been garage kept and never driven in rain etc. I have not had time to check with an ohm meter for continuity and proper voltage from PCM yet. That will have to wait for my next day off..

Reason: other
So today was my day off, and after doing a few things I thought I work on the vette a bit. So I had the car running while i was checking a few things and it shut off and would not restart. I checked the codes and I was getting a H62. However while checking the codes, the cooling fans would go off and on, the injectors would be clicking, and the tach needle sweeping from 0 on up. Even does this with just the key on now not even trying to pull codes. Any idea what is causing this? Bad ECM perhaps? Thanks for any help.....
Do you have Factory Service Manual? what were you playing with when it quit? you might look there for poor connections, chaffed wiring,...etc. are ground connections are clean and tight. ECM is common to whats happening, Does car have GM ecm or aftermaket?
