Default rear end question

howdy,

still kinda new too this board, but was curious what rear end would be the best for a mostly stock 87 l98 corvette with 700r4 tranny i plan on having a pro go threw the tranny and have it set up. as for mods on the car i have the regular stuff flowmaster catback 2 exhaust tpi airfoil, k&N filter, so the question being what would be a good rear end to go with, i was thinking 3.73, or 3.90, which would be good so i don't roast my tires at the line, and which would throw the most power to the ground

you dont need any more than 3.07 for an L98, but you should convert to a Dana 44 carrier, and maybe a 2400-2600 stall Torque Converter

If youre gonna put a different intake, or enlarge the cubes, then maybe a 3.54.
