Cross Brace install?
How many bolts are supposed to be in each corner of the cross brace? (I'm just talking about the corners, not the center plate or where it attaches to the floor pan). I've got 4 spacers, do they all go in the rear, with 2 on each side (and none required in the front?) or does each corner get one?
Looking at it: I'm assuming I would use 4 bolts in each corner and the 4 spacers just in the back. It looks like I have 4 threaded holes on each side of the front frame, so I'd guess I'll use all of them and put 4 bolts in each corner there, then have to make 4 holes with nutserts in each side for the back for a total of 16 bolts around the outside. Does that sound right?
Thanks!
You will want to utilize the body bolts in the center to get the full effect. Search the threads for cross-brace tips on which bolts to use and how to drill and tap.
While you're under there double check how your exhaust is routed in relation to the cross brace. You might have to do some loosening and repositioning to keep the brace from contacting any exhaust components (been through that already, nothing is more annoying than hearing and feeling the exhaust contacting that brace). I'll eventually have to reposition a front exhaust clamp and re-hang the Corsa mufflers slightly on mine. But, I'll do that when I box-in the brace with more sheet metal for better stability sometime in the spring.
