My radio is not working. The face plate lights up and the cd/cassette eject works, but nothing else. The antenna does not go up either. I have checked all the fuses in the fuse panel and they are ok. I bought this car new and never activated the security feature so that is not the problem either. Is there an in-line fuse somewhere that I have overlooked?
So only the eject button works? Not a single other button works right? Thats pretty weird...my amps went out a couple of times but it sounds like you have a very different problem. I am sure someone around here can help you out. By the way, welcome to the very best forum EVER! :seeya :yesnod:
I think the eject is a mechanical function so doesn't require electrical power.
The antenna relay receives power through the radio On/Off. Sounds like problem with the power supply in the dash unit. You can possibly get a rebuilt or used dasy unit from Contemporary Corvette (link on my site).
Sorry but I don't have my GM Shop Electrical Suppliment so can't tell you if there's another fuse even in the older units.
OK, here's an update. After searching this forum I found out about the fuse block under the dash on the passenger's side. Checked those three fuses and they all look ok. Replaced the 10A which I'm guessing is the radio but no go. Still at the same point. Any more ideas?
Try unplugging one speaker amp at a time. A bad one might load down the system. Not sure but have heard these cause several problems when the amps go out. Worth a shot.
On thr passenger side, in the dash, next to the transmission wall is a relay. Pull the passenger shroud off and put your hand up to feel for it. I do not know the part number, but I went through two of them. It is a relay for the amps for the speakers. Just a thought.
This thread is over a decade old but I just had the problem today in my 1990 C4 vert. You'll notice that the courtesy lights don't work as well. It's the 15 amp ctsy fuse. Replace it and it should fix the problem.

Wow! Follow-up after 11 years! THAT's really being a greta forum contributor!
I'll keep this info in my Corvette folder - I have the Bose system too in my 1992 convertible.
Hi, my 1990 Bose doesn't work either.Pretty lights only, eject disc and eject cassette works, antanae groans but says in it's hole, I too checked panel fuses, but not underdash.

From what I have been reading, I guess Iam really blessed! My Bose system currently seems to be working perfectly - radio, CD, power atenna, etc. And, even given the now 21 year old technology, it does sound really good!
I have the same exact problem. Radio lights up and eject works, but nothing else. The fuse is not the problem....has anyone ever solved this? Also, are there any aftermarket radios that go in easily?
