Default Cat back time!!

Which one is better? Borla or Magnaflow?? Eventually I may lose the precats so take that into consideration. I also take looks into consideration.

Be sure to keep Tylenol and ear plugs with those two..It is pricey but you can't go wrong with Corsa..

Honestly, the coolest sound I have heard on my car was straight pipes no cats. It was the most aggressive sound with headers and a cam, but it was just too loud. I bought a Dynomax ultra flo full exhaust for $200 from my instructor, and they sound good, but just not as good as straight pipes did. Straight pipes - 10/10, Dynomax - 8/10. The Dynomax is more tolerable.

I also had muffler eliminators with a cat and that sounded alright but neither of them compare to straight pipes.

My father's friend has a '94 vette with a Magnaflow catback exhaust I believe, and that sounds pretty cool, I would definitely go with that. I have never heard a Borla exhaust on a Corvette though.

IMHO
1 Corsa
2 Borla
3 all the rest

Straight pipes are like Trix

IMHO, corsa is number one, and everyone else is tied for second. corsa is about all the sound i'd ever want - don't need the attention with anything louder. the best sounding exhaust I've had was on my (first) 90 - magnaflow front y-pipe (w/ free flow pre-cats), magnaflow (freeflow) main cat, and a corsa cat back. as far as I was concerned, it had the perfect sound. great, healthy, muscule car sound - not too loud as to draw too much attention, and zero drone. that system was so good, I'm going to duplicate it on my second 90 -

It might be more production to ask people to post up vids of their exhaust system so you can judge sound, fit and finish ect...

The problem I see with threads like these is you will get 1 of 2 answers...either I had this and it sucked (which does you no good really) or I have this and it's the greatest (which really does you no good)... Just my .02

I put a Flowmaster force on my 95, and I would not swap it off for anything. No way would I pay what they ask for a corsa, when this one completely eliminated the drone of the old system, and sounds so good. It's been on for six years and still sounds good as day one. Great idle sound and fairly quiet until opened up.

I agree with the Corsa set as #1. I have it on my 89 and it is quiet when you want it to be, ie, cruising, listening to the radio, talking, etc, but the sound is great when you go to wot.

You should listen to a few before buying. Catbacks are a sound preference thing, they all make about the same power gains.

The great thing about the Power Effects system is you have 6 position valves, you can vary the sound from stock to straight/open. Best of both worlds. Loud when you want it, quiet when you don't. http://www.powereffects.com/indexmain.html
