Default 86 vette ecm computer ??

The other day I pulled the ECM out of my 1896 coupe in order to install a hi performance chip and I noticed the pins in the main harness plug area on the bottom of the ECM all looked the same except for one of them was shorter that the rest, is this normal or did that one pin somehow get pushed lower that the rest? I just think it's kinda odd that all of the pins look identical but that one. If it did get pushed down how do I get it back where it should be? Thanks for your help in advance.

They should all be the same length. The one short pin got pushed in somehow. You should be able to pull it back out with long nose pliers or something similar.

Ok, thanks. I didn't want to bend the pin or break it off.

Would it be safer to open up the ECM and push the pin up instead if pulling it up. If it's even accessible?

I was going to suggest that but thought better of it. The problem is that one row of pins is not accessible because the connector covers it. Things are pretty tight in there but you can get to most of the pins in the other row. I think I would push the pin out from the inside if I could get to that pin.
