I have a 91 vette that is not getting fuel. I changed the fuel pump, fuel relay, in line fuel filter, checked all the fuses. It starts if I put starter fluid, but stalls out as soon as it's gone. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
Make sure that your connecting wires on the fuel pump are securely attached and that they are attached to the correct polarity (+ wire to + terminal and - wire to - terminal).
Sounds like a no-brainer, but I hooked one up wrong once and it took me a full day to track it down.
Checked the wires they are fine. I can hear the fuel pump go on. Haven't checked the injectors don't know how. Car was running rough at low speeds before it died completely like it wasn't getting any power but if you went 50 mph or better it was fine.
Noid light will tell you if the injector is getting a ground pulse. $30
Fuel pressure gauge with side discharge tube will tell you what pressure is on the rail. $60 (some cheaper ones may need disassemble and Teflon tape prior to use or they will spray you)
FIC video on how to measure the resistance of the injectors or just disconnect them one at a time and measure pole to pole suspect any that are lower than the others.
