Please post a pic of you car. I have 17x11 and 315 tires all around on my 95. No rub at all.
I have 285s on my stock rears, no rubbing on them either.
The offset on his 10" wheels puts them something greater than 1/2" closer to the suspension components in the rear so it's very possible he's gut a rub. He should be able to better explain "the rub" though.

Rubs on what? The plastic wheelhouse liners or maybe the brake hose or bracket? Left side - right side or both?

Thats why I was wanting pics, I'm thinking about putting the Z06 spiders on my car and want to see what was going on. I know the 285/35/r19 is an inch taller than my 315/35r17s, maybe run a 285/30r19, it's about the same height.

It looks really bad! I'll be by shortly to get it and drive it, I do that for you for free, so you don't have to worry about changing it. I hope my black/black 93 turns out looking as good as yours. Its a nice car!
