Ive been thinking about converting for awhile and now I found a 91
6- speed car with a new tranny for 2500.00.
my car is a 94.
The "donner car" has an lt1 motor??
Anybody done this??
Am I nuts??
Any input appreciated!!!
Thanks, Rick

You are nuts. Sell your 94. Buy a six speed 94, won't be much more, less if your good. Done factory right. (91 is an L98 btw unless previous owner was Nuts like you).

So you're nuts too?!?
Was it worth it? I'm still leaning a bit towards nuts myself.
Really what's more work, selling my car, buying another car ,fitting a body kit, remaking a rear spoiler, dmv yada, yada, yada or doing the conversion??
By the way the motor is an LT1 somehow.
Ultimately I would like to have an LS motor with the 6 speed and my body-kitted body.
LT1 or L98, the trans and everthing related to the trans that I can think of is the same. I am not sure why people think its easy to sell these cars and then find a car as nice as your own.....
I did the swap on my 95 and its work, but its not hard. Just takes time and patience.
