Key Fob Again
I just bought a key fob from a fellow lister, for my '94 Coupe. I followed the directions I have pasted below to re-program it, however after getting the PKE light to stay lighted with key fob in it's proximity, the PKE light just goes out and the fob will get the doors to lock once and only once.
Also - it will not pop the hatchback as I believe one of the buttons should do? Any suggestions?
Here is the process I followed:
1.Move all transmitters out of range
2.Turn ignition key on
3. Push TRIP ODO on the DIC
4.Within 5 seconds, press and hold FUEL INFO until the passive keyless entry light comes on
5.Turn the ignition off, but leave key in. The PKE light should start to flash, this means it's in program mode
6.Bring one transmitter in range. The light will stop flashing and stay on to show that the code is stored.
7.Move transmitter out of range. The light should start flashing again.
8.repeat 6&7 with each additional transmitter.
The programming mode will shut off if:
*You don't program any transmitters for two minutes
*You take the key out of the ignition or turn the ignition on
*You have programmed three transmitters
Have any of you had this problem?

Naw, went and bought one right away. Been there done that kind of thing before. This is more of a sequncing problem or communication problem between the Tx and the Rx.
Still looing for one of those "Vette-rans" that might have bumped up against this problem before.
