My 84 acts like its trying to pull off at the stoplight I have to hold the brake pretty hard and the car jerks or bucks repeatedly while stopped in drive with t he brake on.
Sometimes when I take my foot off the brake the car sits perfectly still and it feels weird, most of the time it will crawl when I take the brake off.
Whats going on Im so used to driving a stick I know this is probably obvious.
Sounds like your torque converter lock up. I've never been a fan of the 700r4, and they are really finicky about there adjustments, which may also be your problem. You may want to have a trans shop take a look. You may want to look into a 4l60 swap, with a stand alone computer. Solves a lot of problems. h

If the car doesn't move when you take your foot off the brake I would suggest you check the booster. If you take the vacuum line off the booster and plug it, do you notice any difference??
I wouldnt be surprised if it has a vacuum leak it cruises fine but accelerating from a top its pretty rough.
Where can I find a picture showing all the vacuum lines I need to check? On my old car its easy I just check all the hoses that go the manifild. I never had a fuel injected car before or a Corvette.
