HF Transfer Pump
I was wondering about that one....I did grab up a decent drill pump. Found a good one at HF for about $7 iirc. Trick with those is to never run dry... always prime it with a little of whatever you are pumping. The cool thing is that the pump has fittings for in/out that are garden hose size. Lowes and Home Depot have adaptors that allow you to screw on a garden hose end, that reduces down to 1/4" or anywhere in-between. The downside to the drill pump is that you gotta hold on pretty tight...it WILL do a good spin as soon as it 'bites' on the fluid and builds some pressure !
I was wondering if the transfer pump might be easier...
either way, ya gotta love HF and their junk store !
BTW... that's where I buy pure silicone grease that I load into a new, clean, small grease gun to lube my suspension bushings and other rubber things. $10 a small tube. Super-Lube grease. Don't waste the stuff on anything that's non-rubber. Also use it on all the electrical plug seals. Silicone grease is magic stuff.
HF stuff is great for occasional hobbyist use but I wouldnt depend on it to make me money on the job. Too many busted knuckles from lower quality stuff slipping or breaking outright. They are great to save money on those high dollar items you may use once or twice a year. And really, most stuff is made in China now anyway.
I will look for that silicone grease next time I am in there. I get like a kid in a candy store sometimes and I have to walk thru to what I am wanting to buy or I end up with $100+ in stuff I really didnt need.
