Default Bar Pin Eliminators?

I know on Jeeps, there's such a thing as BPEs. The point is to fully preload the shock bushing and push the shock up slightly so as to preload the shock aswell. It reduces all types of clunking in a Jeep. Would this be applicable on a Vette? Have any use?

I'm used to the bumpy, hard suspension on Jeep Cherokees. I figured performance cars would have something similar, but I've Googled to no avail.

Here's a link showing and explaining them.

Vettes don't clunk. At least not ones that are assembled correctly. Therefor, this mod is not necessary. Spend your $300.00 on good shocks.

......... The "bar pins" on most every shock that I have encountered are pressed in to the bushing ... if there is any slop there then its time to replace the shocks ... sounds like someone invented a problem in order to sell the cure ... besides , gas charged shocks are already pre-loaded ...............

Checked out the shocks. The bar pins on our shocks are stronger and thicker than the ones on Jeep shocks.

The bar pin is more of an oval shape, thus it doesn't compress the bushing all the way.

Thanks anywase.

The bar pin may look like an oval as it enters the bushing, but that is just from pressing the tube to get the flat spots on the ends. It is round further in.

My rear sway bar bushings are gone. Makes a clunk very near the shock area. Maybe thats what you have going on.
