..... OK , so today I decided to glass up the holes cut through the rear floor where the roll bar stays were welded to a crossmember ... I poured out the resin and when I took the cap off the tube of hardener I realized that it had been opened already ... being Christmas , I decided to go ahead and use it ... well three hours later and its all still tacky ... what to do now ? ... I'm thinking that if it doesn't harden up overnite that I will need to scrape up all my new patches , clean up the mess , and start over ... unless someone here has any words of wisdom ............

If you could get some heat to it you could likely "accelerate" it. What is the product you used?
Hardener should not go bad. What you can do is mix up some resin with more hardener than usual, and then brush that on. The chemical reaction of the fresh resin will help harden the first application. And, yes, heat will help harden it quicker.
......... The product is United States Chemicals and Plastics Fiberglass Resin with clear Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide hardener ... temps were mid 70s when I started and hit mid 80s this afternoon ... I did give a section about a 20 minute stint with a hair dryer with no discernable results ... I'm going to sleep on it and see what I've got in the morning ... the whole house smells like a boat factory .............
I vote for heat. Hey why are you taking out the rollbar? You should be putting a cage in that thing. Have you tried out the transbrake yet?
..... The rollbar stays put ... I was just patching up the areas that were cut open to reveal the frame and crossmember ... my expert glasswork was all still tacky this morning so I scraped it all off and went out and bought some fresh resin , mat , and hardener and did it all over again ... hardened in about an hour , hardly stinks at all ... I have not tried the trans brake at the track yet ... but I gave it a go in a parking lot ... it hits like I side stepped a clutch pedal ... I bought a raptor shift lite that has a staging function to help keep the RPMs consistent off the line , I will likely wire in a two-step , but the lowest RPM pill they have is 3000 , and I want to try launching a little lower than that to try to save parts ... with the foot brake , I've been coming off at idle .........
