Default Headlight bushing question

Hi guys. I have the headlight off the car and took the cover off the headlight motor as the internet instructions indicated. When trying to pull out the plastic gear with the metal backing, it mentions to stick a pick or small screwdriver in the middle to help pull it out. The center on mine is solid however. Do I just need to use a pipe wrench or similar to hold the center post and jiggle it loose? Here's a few photos....

tried to jiggle it a bit with some channel locks to get it out but no dice... hopefully I'll have some time to work on it tomorrow after work.

Did you loosen the housing screws and the adjustment screw (with the lock nut)?

on the other side of the motor where the shaft comes out. there it a pin u have to hammer out. once that pin is out it comes right out. go on you tube and search headlight gear removal for a c4 corvette. there are plenty of videos on how to do it.

I'm pretty sure that I missed knocking the pin out now that you mention it. I'll work on it tonight!
