Would like to buy a diagnostic scan tool to use on my 1995 LT1 OBD 1. Lots of Choices. Advice can include pro types, like Solus, Tech II, etc. I would like one that truly reads the 1995 Vette and more modern on board vehicle systems too. Thanks.
Should I call them. I went to TTS site and a download error comes up. Read about the programs they offer and seems to be what I need. I will need the the correct cable and it appears they don't supply OBD I cable any longer. Any suggestions (moates.net also said dose not support LT1? Confusing.
If you have used this Datamaster program can you share an example of how it assisted you. From some of my research Tech I was the dealership system and gave complete diagnostic readings and solutions to repair or adjust systems. Datamaster software from TTS you run on a PC laptop with a USB cable. I'm assuming it does similar scanning as the Tech I scanner. Thanks for the patience and help.
I reviewed a portion of your site, very impressive. I have some learning to do, but i'm up for the task. It appears I will need some additional software for tuning my 1995 LT1.
My wife complains I'm always in the garage. We have a 1965 Ford F100, 1955 Buick Century, 1949 MG TC and they require good ears, screwdrivers, wrenches and some simple tuning tools. Now I'll be in the garage and in front of my laptop. This is going be fun, plus this car is way more fun to drive.

I revisited your site and went through the links section. I guess being new to all this and not really sure about my tuning goals the choices are a bit overwhelming. I did order the cable I need for my car. I understand the importance of data collection and storing the results. I intend to call about Datamaster first thing Monday. However there were many other links i viewed partially and it seems like they all have a purpose.
Are there typical reasons for reprogramming? I would assume performance is the typical reason for reprogramming specific tuning set-ups with owning a corvette. It is an american icon.

I know this is a Corvette forum. But one of the links in your site referred to Jaguar. I own a 1995 XJ6 with OBD. More to learn. Thanks for all your help.
Your 95 is a different design than what I do. You do not have a removable chip (Prom, or Memcal), but must rather reflash your PCM with a laptop, software, and cable.
You can find what you need here at www.carputing.com .
If your car is stock there's no reason to do any tuning unless you want to adjust for changed gears, lower fan temps, or change shift points. Basically minor changes, but if you modified it with a bigger, or other major changes then you may need to tune. having datamaster is a darn good tool just for operational diagnosis though.

Again, thank you so much for your time and experience. I visited the carputing PCM site and it looks like i needed the cable from Moates I ordered. Will follow through with Datamaster and further my PCM research.
