yeah im jus totally confused on exasctly what to do with the heads. my intake is a tr1y. not the yx. it wont bolt to a vortec head neways. just checked it today. so looks like i need t save up for the victor jrs. is there any type of method to measure what cc the piston is? theres no numbers on it
yeah i took a piston completely out. and mine is pre date to that. their is no etched number on mine. could i possibly take a cup of bondo, spray wd 40 on my piston, dip it in my bondo, let the bondo harden, remove the piston and see how much liquid it takes to fill the hole in the bondo?

Found this: Piston ID But you'd have to take the oil pan off to see....
You don't want more than 11.5-1 compression for street use. You also don't want to run or pay for the ethanol and you'd have to drive far out of your way to find any. By the time you do, you'll be.broke and have to go back home. Then, when you get home, you'll be on E again due to the MPGs this thing will be getting, haha. You can also adjust compression with head gasket thickness. I would take all those specs to several engine builders or head distributors and find out which set matches best with the rest of your setup. Don't get too caught up with all details for build. You still won't beat The Abominable One!

patrick u found me . and yes i know, everyone says its absurb to run that much compression on a street car but this is indeed an absurd car. but i am planning on lowering the compression just a bit. and ethanol is to hard to find. im selling the heads i had for it. dint like the way it added up. now im looking for something else. and im saying synestr will hurts bmf's feelings. but only time will tell.
finding c.c.'s ? take whatever space you're trying to determine, fill it completely with modelling clay but without including any extra clay, remove the clay, roll it in a little ball, and drop it in a graduated glass cylinder partially filled with water. the indicated volume of the water plus clay minus the volume of the water alone = the volume of the space. try it.
