power antenna 89 c4
Found a posting by BB 2005 that had just what I needed. I printed out the diagram and worked right thru the problem. Antenna works great.
I am in serious need of the wiring diagram for the power antenna in a 89. I have 12+ and a good grd at the antenna relay located in the left rear, however I do not know if they are in the proper location. The relay is marked 1,2,3,4,5,6. I think someone at one time removed the pins from the plastic socket, marks show where they at least tried. I would like to know the color of the wires in and out of the relay and which should be power and or grd. I have replaced the relay and have a spare antenna that was working when I brought it home and I have yet been able to get either to work. I am good with 12v wiring but without knowing if everything is where it should be I'm just guessing at some. The only warning I have been given is not to run the antenna on just a battery without the relay in the circuit. Not sure if this is true, but I have not applied voltage to it alone. I have asked using many different phrases to find a diagram on the internet and had no luck. I could really use some help. Thanks, Perk
