There are LT1 superrams in existance. They are not being produced anymore as far as I know. The distributor hole in the back must be sealed off before use. The manifolds are cast from the same molds and then drilled differently for the different heads.
Anybody know where I could get a superram for an LT1? I want it for low end torque for autox. I am not sure I want to spend the money, but I am considering all possibilities.
Scorp:
Its on the opposite end of the distributor hole, not quite as big, doesnt look like a sensor would go there. If I could post a pic it would be easier.
I was planning on waiting to get heads, but now I want to try it out. Any harm running this thing on a stock lt1
I just got it, the guy who sold it to me stated he was running 12's with it, on heads, cam. We will see.

Stock L98 TPI Intake on the left, Accel TPI intake on the right. The front of the intake is at the bottom of the pictures. There is a thermostat sitting in the thermostat hole on the accel one.
The only place I've ever seen pics of the LT1 Super Ram was in the Corvette EFI book by Probst. Externally it looked just like the L98 SR but the thermostat and distributor holes had bolt-on covers. I'm assuming Lingenfelter thought these things would catch on with LT1 owners that wanted more bottom end power or something. I don't think the idea went over well, but that's just a theory.
Maybe 10-15 lbs. And it wouldn't be "down low", it would be in the mid to upper mid range where there'd be a meaningful tq gain.
EDIT: you might actually be right....maybe. In THIS THREAD, I tested a SLP T-Ram (which has a very similar tq curve to the Super Ram) against a Mini Ram...which has similar characteristics to the LT1 intake. Indeed, the T-Ram made about 45 more tq than the Mini Ram at 1500 RPM. So, maybe.
