My passenger side window squeaks when it is closing. It's fine for most of the travel, but really squeaks when it's closing the last inch or so. Sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me, and is slowly driving me crazy. If the door is open even just a little bit, it doesn't squeak, but if it's closed watch out, lol.
It almost sounds slightly metallic, like the glass is making a piece of metal vibrate within the door.
Any ideas on what part of the window assembly this would be, and what I need to do to fix it?
Sounds like the felt has worn off the top guides and the metal is scraping against the glass as the window reaches to top of it's travel and the guides press firmly against it.
Replace the guides SOON to avoid scratches into the glass! This has happened on my IROC.
