New to C4s
While looking around under the hood, I found a plug and connector to master cylinder. The wired connector was tucked away and not plugged into cylinder. What is it for?

If it the brake master cylinder single wire it is for the low pressure warning light.

That is for the front-rear balance switch inside the master cylinder. If there is a difference in pressure between the front and rear brake circuits then that switch will cause the BRAKE light to turn on in the DIC (Driver Information Center) in the center cluster.
