Power Window Ribbon
I've got to replace my passenger side power window ribbon in my '85 vette. Anyone have any suggestions or tips? I looked in the tech articles, but couldn't find anything. Thanks!

They can be a challenge....especially for the virgins. I did my 84 3 times and got pretty good at it. I assume you bought the ribbon from MAD, if so they come with adequate instructions. You'll need a rivot gun in order to re-attach the assembly. Take your time and be sure to mark the position of all the bolts so that the window will stay in alignment.

That ribbon is a Chrysler part, much cheaper at a Dodge/Chrysler dealer.
It will be too long. Be sure to cut it to size before you install it.
Also, be sure to grease the track with white lithium (spray can available at Home Depot).
