Re: What kind of MPG are you getting out of your 'Vette (F5Nikon)
Highway mileage was 31-32mph on a long trip with moded L98, bone stock 700R/4, stock 2.59 gears and 275/14 GY Eagles at 34psi.
I haven't realy checked it with the TransGo shift kit, rebuilt tranny and 2,000rpm TC; but expect about the same if not a little better highway mileage.
City mileage didn't count before and now for sure is of not value as I "occasionally" like to hammer it.

With the 2.59's i was getting 18/27. And now with the 3.75's (considering I stay out of the throttle) I get 17/25. Not too bad as I see it. This is for a 93 LT1.

I get 21.9 mpg which I don't feel is bad considering what I have done from stock. I believe I have 2:59 gears now. Hope to change to 3:73s by the end of summer. :yesnod:

1992 LT1; for all intents and purposes, stock and has 99,625 miles of which 16,679 are mine.
High 24.10 mpg (RW calc)
Low 16.07 mpg (RW calc)
16k average 19.43 mpg
I have found the computer's version of my mileage is generally more optimistic than the real world calculation; still.... not bad for a 300 horsepower vehicle capable of 150+ mph

396 LT1 16-17 City. Not sure what I'm getting on HWY.
RWTQ = 403
Ever since I cleaned the throttle body, my gas milage dropped
by about 1.3 miles per gal.

Just how far off is the factory computer, becuse the day I picked up my car it was telling me that I was getting 34.7 miles to the gallon on the I5. That just seems a little too high for a 1990 6 speed with 4.11's. Not that I;m complaining :D

Have 95LT1 with minor bolt on mods. Work about 6 miles from home. If that is all the driving I do on a particular tankful, then I get about 14.7 mpg. If I mix in a bit of (uncongested) freeway driving, the tank average goes up to about 16-17. At constant freeway speeds, the computer reads out about 24 or sometimes more (depending on whether I am on a flat section of road or if there is a slight grade or incline).

My computer says 14mpg ... but I know that's not right. It doesn't know I have 30# injectors in there. It's probably around the 10-12 range. :nonod: :jester
On the highway it says i get about 21 or so.. i'm sure that's wrong as well. I'm going to have to calculate it out the "old fashion way" someday.
See my site for the engine :crazy: :crazy: :crazy: :D
