Default Replacing Muffler / Exhaust?

I have a C4 1995 that I am looking to upgrade the exhaust/muffler to enhance the sound, but don't want it to be offensive. Nice rumble at idle and nice tone when accelerating. I do not want resonance in cabin. Looked at Borla, Corsa... any ideas out there that might fit my needs?

this topic has been beaten to death, and there are several active threads also discussing this topic.

Corsa is the general answer you will get in terms of "quiet at cruise, no drone, and good sound at full throttle".

After living for years with a B&B catback that resonated pretty badly, I finally yanked it off the car (it's listed for sale in C4 parts, BTW), and replaced it with a Corsa system. The difference is tremendous, and I wish I'd done it a long time ago. The Corsa sounds nice at idle, is nearly quiet when cruising at light-throttle, has no resonance, and barks with a full-throated and authoritative growl at WOT. Very, very nice. Highly recommended.

Live well,

I hated the B&B's on my 96'. I seriously had a loss of hearing after a road trip from LA to Phoenix. I ditched them for the Magnaflow's, which are quieter, but "still" have some drone.

I know exactly what you mean. My ears always rang after a drive with those B&B's. They turned my car into a five-speed, because I couldn't stand to drive in sixth gear with the droning. I actually started using ear plugs for around-town driving. On long drives, I plugged the inner exhaust outlet of each muffler with plumber's test plugs, which helped tremendously. The Corsa is so much nicer. The B&B is well-suited for a track car, or somebody who doesn't mind the resonance, but it rattled my brain and I couldn't stand it.

Corsa ain't cheap, but if you shop it around, you can probably find somebody who'll sell it at a substantial discount, and I think you'd really like the system.

Live well,

Corsa is certainly my choice, have purchased two cat/back systems for two different C4s that I have owned, one of which I still have sitting in the shop. Easy to install, good quality components, and attractive exhaust tips. Nice throaty sound while riding along, good for music or conversation (windows up) but sounds aggressive when running through the gears. Good luck with your exhaust - ignore the old timers on the site who say this subject has been covered, we have new folks arriving on the forum daily and the search function is difficult to use sometimes.

If you want to do the job once, get the Corsa!...

There's a reason why so, many C4 owners recommend Corsa...
