Rattle noise above 3500rpm
What would cause a rattling noise above 3500 in gear (driving) only. If i rev her up with it in Neutral, there's no noise.. but driving there is. I even tried putting it in Neutral while rolling down the road at 50mph ... no noise.
It's noticeable in the car and as an echo off of a wall or cement pillar next to me when driving.

My exhaust rattles a bit at higher rpm's(in motion only). Check your exhaust hanger between your rear y-pipe and your torque beam. I have gone through two in 10 months.

Make sure it is not a ping. Sometimes when a motor is pinging it sounds like a rattle under the hood and it will only happen under load. Therefore it will not do it in N.

I can get it up in the air here, and next week it should be in the garage for the rest of summer

I had an L98 that did the same thing. We were using a DFI and the knock sensor also did not pick it up until I replaced the sensor. Check and see if it is working, with the key on and engine off, use a plastic hammer and hit the side of the block and see if it picks it up. They work off of a certain range of frequency and it could be that yours is just not working.

Re: Rattle noise above 3500rpm (snaketr)
hmm.. there are two of them though .. and they are both brand new. And i don't know that the computer will tell me about knock if the engine isn't running.
I need to put some race gas in here and see if it goes away. If it does, i know it's detonation.

The engine will not tell you anything. But the computer will tell you if it is picking up the signal. That is all I can offer to you without actually hearing this thing for myself. Good Luck.
