How do you open a closed hood latch right side? Left side opens!

Such a pain in the butt when that happens. There are 2 bolts holding the hood pin to the hood. Needs a 13mm wrench. If you loosen the bolts, the hood should open unless the cable is snapper. To access the hood pin, remove the little panel below the hood. Good luck!

I had the same problem. You had to have someone pull on the hood while someone else pulled up on the hood. In my case the side of the hood that would not open had the hood pin too far down.

To fix it, the big nut on the hood pin had to be loosened and the pin move up. I was afraid of how much force was required on the nut so I removed the mechanism (be sure to mark it's location) and used a vice to move it. I started with the pin positioned where it would not latch and moved it down (longer) until it latched. Works great now.

reach under dash where hood release is and pull the right cable with needle nose or pliers it works then put ty wraps as to never happen again

Yes. It can be adjusted for each side. If it is opening correctly when you adjust it but still does not open the hood, the hood pin is at the wrong height.

Have someone hold the hood release open. Try to lift the hood. If you can lift it, it's a hood pin adjustment problem. If it won't release it is a cable problem.

Once the hood is open you can adjust the cables you can use a ty wrap or throttle cable like on a kart wrap around where cables attach never worry again

Purchase tool from Ecklers! As far as I can determine there is not enough space to insert the tool and turn it. Removed wheel panel and cannot reach cable. Do not know where the bolts holding the hood pins are! What a Mess!!!!! Is there really a way to open this?

The bolts are just ahead of the hood pin towards the front of the car. Keep at it
