I cant belive that none has replaced there slave cylinder ?! I think my pin that push on the clutch fork is broken, cuase the pin is loose in the cylinder..
Relax a little, sometimes you post and it takes awhile before someone with experience can answer.
With the slave cylinder unbolted from the bellhousing the push rod (what you are calling a pin) is loose, no problem. That said I personally rate the Corvette clutch hydraulic system as one of the worst out there. At times I just want to engineer up a mechanical/cable replacement. One time while I was dealing with odd clutch operation I even machined up a different length clutch slave push rod to get proper clutch release.
The most important, and sometimes difficult job, is to bleed out all air in the hydraulic system.
