Default Wiring Question

Before being told to go to the FSM, I already have and haven't had any luck locating what these wires are for. They were folded up under the cover that goes over the door sill (91) and not connected to anything.

Any help in what they are for would be appreciated.

If I had to guess, they went to something the previous owner had that he kept. I believe those white things are inline fuses which I don't believe the factory used. Do you have an after market stereo/ speakers etc. Maybe from a power amp. My best guess.

Most important first, I remember your plane from when they were new. I actually got to fly on a P2 at one time.

Now, back to the wires. Yes it has an after market stereo installed. I am in the process of removing the Bose speakers and found these wires. I guess I will take out the seat belt (the wires go under the housing for the belt) and try to keep chasing.

its old stereo or amp wiring. No factory harness ever left loose ends to ANY device. Some aftermarket add-on stuff of some type... see where the other end is and d/c as needed.

The old Neptune, never seen one in the flesh, just pictures. Didn't have enough engines on it for me to fly on. Nice that you flew on one. I spent 17 of my 20 years in the Navy as an engine mech on the P-3 and 14 of the 17 also as a flight engineer. Fun times.

The wires will probably lead back to the compartment in the rear maybe. I'm re-doing my 94' and I have my front carpet removed, dash pad removed, lower IP removed and the only thing left in my engine compartment is the engine block/crank and A/C system. I'm chasing a mouse or whats left of one on the inside of my car.
If anything else comes up about wiring I can see most of mine so let me know.

Totally OT, P-3s fly over my house all the time and now the new jet version.

And yes, that looks like aftermarket audio wiring of some kind.
