help please fuel pressure
i changed fuel injectors & regulator and i get 40psi of pressure when i turn the key but it drops to zero in seconds and the car runs like crap real rich what can i check next :confused: :confused: :confused:

Sounds like you have a leaky injector. DO NOT run the car with it leaking like that. You'll have to pull the injectors and pressure test them when they are on the stock rail or separately.
These aren't accel injectors are they ?

no thay are fms 24# from summit i noticed on the forum a lot of people use them in stock l98s is this ok to use if so how do you tell if the new injector is leaking ?

You can pull the plugs one at a time to see which ones are fowled and that will tell you which injectors to pull......or you can pull them all out of the intake (still attached to the fuel rail) and turn the key on for 2 sec to pressureise them. Key off an visually inspect them for leaking. If you go that route, have rags and a fire extinguisher around just in case.

Check to see if one of the injectors electrical wire is pinched. This could ground the circuit and pulse the injector. Guess it's possible to have a bad new injector. Did you install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator or stock?

I would also check to see that you didn't rupture the diaphram in the regulator... if its an adjustable one... hopefully you put the little disk between the adjusting bolt and the diaphram...
