C4 Tech/Performance L98 Corvette and LT1 Corvette Technical Info, Internal Engine, External Engine

Default Problem driving me crazy.

I have a 86 Corvette. It has been modified to a 383. The car has a MSD 6AL box and a accel super coil on it as well as a cold air kit. The car will start and run rough with the check engine light on. Runs great for about 30 to 45 minutes then the engine light will go out and the car will idle up from its normal 500 to 800 OR 900 RPMs. It is almost like the ESC goes wild. Have changed the ESC and still have the same problem. When it gets hot and the engine light goes out it will just shut down. When you go to crank it up she spins over like the battery is dead or it is out of time. I am going crazy without my daily driver.

did you ceck engine codes?pull codes and then report us.Was the engine chip tuned?any infos?
Can you back to stock coil ?or at least dismount the 6AL msd,may be something goes wrong on it.Lately that kind of aftermarket stuff come from China...try and report

Ok finally had some time to do some test. I changed my ESC. Still same problem. Reverted back to stock coil and cut out MSD box. Still the car got hot and shut off. When she shuts down it is hard to turn over. I have spark at the plugs and I have fuel pressure. I have checked and readjusted my timing with a light so its not out of timing but she still shuts down when she gets to temp. The only code I can get out of her is a code 34. Seriously running out of ideas. I'm even considering changing it over to carb. Could it be one of the two relays for the mass causing my issue?

Do you have a friend with a c4 86> near to you,just swap the MAF,i'm inclined to think that 34 code is the key,MAF sensor is important and the car may shut down if it's damaged.There is the MAF power relais to ceck before,cheap part,but don't throw parts if you aren't sure this is the part you need.
these pages are from my 85 fsm different maf system,but for basic testing probably are good
