side mirrors
I am in need of the drivers side mirror internals, motors and glass...etc all I have is the housing. I found some for sale but they are from a different year. Do they interchange? Will any mirror from a c4 work in my 87 coupe?

84 has the motor inverted. The mounting bracket is different. The wiring plug is different (wire locations). The 84 motor is a 3 wire where my 86 has a 4 wire motor. I bought a mirror for my son's Monte for $30 but my vette is $75. Damn Corvette tax.

My driver mirror stopped(84) , I got a later model. The difference is in the posts/bosses in the mirror housing casting. I was able to work it out with some creative dremal work.
So it can be done....best is to get oem, next best is to find a cheap one and scab the two hardwares together.
