Default 87 4+3 overdrive

FYI for those interested, you can add transmission fluid to the overdrive unit via the breather tube that terminates (should) in the engine bay. (starts in the very back, top of the O/D unit) Had a low fluid level and Brian at S-K speed info'd me on this one. Mine terminated between the driver side valve cover and firewall. I had to remove my wiper motor to gain access to it. I added an extension of 3/8" x 6" tubing put the wiper motor back on plugged in a turkey baster syringe as a funnel, added 1 oz at a time. Put the air plug back on and was done..

Next is to add a drain plug at the next filter change and frequent fluid changes (or topping off) will be a breeze.

My question is why go through the trouble of pulling the wiper motor to add fluid. Is your fill plug stripped on side of od unit? Just wondering?

had to pull the wiper motor to add 3/8 x 6" tubing extension, now don't have to do anything other than lift the hood to add to transmission.
