Default 113 valves and springs

So i will be running a cam with a lift of .533 on 1.5. I am fine with this but i can't seem to find a spring that can do around just this. All i see are either .500 or .600. The .600 i just don't need. Also i don't think a 113 could get that far. Anyone help me out here?
Also will the stock valve make it that far? This will be a temporary head to get me to fall till i finally am able to get my whole setup ready. any input is appreciated.
Thanks ahead

Been awhile but IIRC .500 is max lift on stock 113 heads.

Suggest contacting the cam manufacturer for installed spring height, seat & open spring pressure. Depending on cam brand the required info may be on the cam card including a part # for the recommended springs

Good luck with your build..

I found they "recommend" with the sale. .650 behives.

Is the stock valves able to go .533?

Sounds like your doing this with the heads on the motor. The valves will do ok its the retainers that will hit seals/guides. You could remove a rocker arm & spring, reinstall the retainer/keepers & measure valve travel to the guides. The guides may need to be milled a bit + the spring seats may need cut to eliminate coil bind. All speculation on my part, the seat height may be ok depending on spring wire diameter.
Its difficult to determine procedure/fit up without an eye ball on the job.
I can tell you that I have .488 lift with 1.5 rockers, installed spring height is 1.750, spring seats & guides are stock height = no clearance issues.

Well the heads will actually be off. I've just never had to swap springs. So I don't know exactly what needs to be done. I'm trying to figure it out.
The springs they recommend are..
125# @1.800 seat load
367# @1.150 open
1.075/1.310 OD

Will the 113 head hold that much pressure? Or have to get milled for the od?
Comp cams part # 26918-16

Thanks

I believe the stock spring seats are 1.25 so they will need to be cut for the 1.31 springs.

The shim is 1.25 would it still have to be cut using that?

Don't recall the stock spring height the spec is listed in the FSM. If your swapping springs & cutting spring seats you will need a valve spring height micrometer.

Larger diameter valve springs may require a retainer change. Aftermarket retainers are available in different "heights" to dial in spring installed height. If new retainers are required suggest 10 degree units & new 10 degree keepers.

I agree with Curchkey. The 113s can only handle .525 lift with the stock setup. You don't NEED to cut them if you can find parts that work. They make retainers that are +.100 or so that will help get the right installed height, and there are plenty of springs with the correct diameter to fit the 113 seat. Behives work for low lift less aggressive cams and are small enough to fit the stock seat.

These should work? Now this is only a 7 month setup. Just to drive it. So I'm not looking to pour $400 into a pair of pretty bad heads.
