Default Fuel Pressure Problem --- Experienced help appreciated

At one point I was running an intank Bosch pump to an inline Bosch pump with a Kenney Bell boost a pump aiding the inline unit. the inline unit fed seperate fuel lines which dumped into modified fuel rails feeding 83lb injectors.. Fuel pressure with this system provided 48lbs@4000rpm ramping up to52lbs @6000rpm and produced 585rwhp. Obviously I couldn't be happy so I did away with the inline unit, built an intank hanger and added a second Bosch pump each feeding a seperate fuel line. The fuel volume obviously increased and I added a pressure switch to allow only one pump to function for street driving. The second pump kicks in @ 3000rpm. I can't seem to tune this beast with the DFI. Any body been in this situation and willing to give input?

Do you have seperate regulators & return lines? There is some dual pump tech info here:

Thanks for the article. It would appear the return line is too small to handle the current flow capacity.
