My vette is 90% track and only 10% street. And only would need my a/c during summer. My a.c. is fine except it keeps blowing the control module and I'm not going through any more troubleshooting. Just don't care that much. I also hate my automatic climate control and its never worked right.
I want to wire my system to one wire. Can I just wire the ac fan to ground a wire and turn the compressor on by the same switch? If its not possible im tearing it all out. Problem is I need the defroster. When it rains its impossible to see. Complete 0% visibility.... not good on the track.

Rewire it like a early non elec car ?
Replace the BCM with a relay ( for the current draw ) ;
single switch operates relay to give Hi speed blower and also powers up the compressor circuit
In '84 example below , switch would power the org wire to relay and lt green to compressor
