Default Clutch cylinder

Well, its got to the stage where Im having to top up the clutch fluid every 300 miles or so, so Im looking at rebuilding the master and replace the slave at the same time, what Id like to know is what kind of job is it to replace the slave, easy or difficult? its a 94 six speed coupe, could I do it on axle stands? many thanks..

Its a pretty simple procedure. Hook up the hydraulic line before bolting the slave to the bellhousing and crack the bleeder open (make sure the master cylinder is full). Hold the slave so that the bleed screw is the highest point. When you get a steady stream of fluid coming out close the bleeder and bolt the slave on. Go inside and pump the pedal. It may be soft at first, but after about 20 pumps or so it should feel normal.

It is tight but can be done, easier with the exhaust out of the car.

Yes it is easier with the exhaust out, but still doable without removing the exhaust.
