Has anybody come across this problem when i switch on my interior fan the car runs very rough, it runs with a misfire then tries to stall when i switch the fan off it goes back to running normal. I have run the diagnostic check through the ecm but all clear would it possibly be the alternator? it seems to drain the power of the car. Please respond if any one can help
is it electronic controlled a/c (push button)
OR
does it have the sliding levers for vents and cool/heat?
Are you trying to say that when you turn the a/c ON, the car runs like crap and will die sometimes?
If you just turn on the econ button, whats that do?
its probably just the IAC AFU and needs to be d/c asap replaced with a NOS or generic version.
might try pulling it and a good douching with carb cleaner in the hole and reinstall and see what that does. If the IAC failed the a/c will cause the engine idle to drop to the point of stalling. It Won't cause it to run bad above idle. If the a/c compressor is seized ...maybe.
I can't think of what else fan buttons would have to do with the engine running over idle speed... nothing actually.
The C60 ("manual") system has a HOT - COLD lever that you move back and forth to control the temperature.
The C68 ("electronic") system has a temperature display. You use buttons to set the temperature and the system maintains that temperature automatically.
