Hi, my passenger side headlight motor gave out on me so I bought a used one and replaced the gears in it. I installed it today and works great, opens and closes but when it closes it seems to close "too far." It sticks out a little bit on the tail end. Tried searching the forums as much as I could but couldn't find anything. Thanks.

Hi there.
The " firbre glass lid" can be adjusted to match the contour of the hood, there are 4 screws you can loosen and retension when the lid fits just right. Have a good look under the hood and you can see the plastic tabs with the screws.
There are two stops on the "top" and "bottom" (with the hood up) that control the positions of the headlight housing in the open and closed positions.
A note: the rear is supposed to stick up a little above the hood to reduce the rock chips in the hood opening. The front sits below the hood opening for the same reason.
This is the open stop (on the right -- the headlight is in the closed position):
This is the closed stop (the headlight is in the open position):
The **** is used to manually open the headlight if the motor fails to open it (for whatever reason).
