Default Qucik headgasket question

On the L98 alum headed engines, are the from the factory stock headgaskets coated, composite or steel shim? I'm not talking about replacing them or what to use, I'm just curious what's on my alum headed L98 now.

Thanks

This is the gasket that comes up for a 1987. This was the part number listed in All Data and I pulled it up on Summit Racing. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-12557236

14101129 GM would have been an original production but before year's end in '86 the 14088948 GM became OE and I'm sure they were composition and .051 compressed. A very popular early composition gasket was a 10119455 that was .039
