BLM counts of 160 are not good. it means it is running lean and the ecm is adding as much fuel as possible. Lower the injector flowrate until it comes in line. Also, do not try and pry up your chip. I don't think I have an ANHT, but here's a 91 you can download:

http://www.scotthansen.net/AXCR.Bin

Tell us what injector you're running?

I can't read my bin to modify. I can emulate and modify on the go but it's difficult because my ecm is under the hood. Is that a stock AXCR? I got my injectors from FIC I can't remember the name of them but they were the new ones and not the rebuilt. They're silver and black.

Edit: I tried to download the file but it says there's no file there. I right clicked and clicked "save link as"

Sorry, syntax error, capital B in bin. Try again. It's pretty stock, I'll go look in a minute. I'm watch the Derby.

Edit:
Okay, the file is fairly stock. Only VATS, EGR, and canister purge have been turned off. Can you load and run the file? Reading your ANHT may be a HEX addressing issue, or selecting 27C256 for the chip. hex address would be 008000 to 00FFFF.

Is that an adapter to read the memcal?

Thanks! My only concern is that I have a 383 so I'm not sure what needs to be modded to run a stock bin.

You can plug the adapter into your burner and the other side prongs plugs into the bottom of your "chip" without having to unsolder the prom. Before I started using the ebl I did unsolder it and solder in a reflashable prom so I didn't have to uv light erase every time.

#1. Cubic displacement: 383

#2. Transmission type: Automatic

#3. Compression ratio and cylinder head type: Not sure. Trying to calculate but I don't have all the info on my build.

#4. Cam specifications: CAM 90 L98 10111773 In/Exh Dur@.050" 202'/207' Lift (w/1.5) .413"/.428" LobSep 114.5'

#5. Injector size: 22# I believe Delphi is the brand

#6. Fuel rail number IE: 2839KFH, What is the desired pressure at idle with vacuum disconnected: Recommendation?

#7. Vehicle Anti Theft System (VATS): Disable

#8. Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR): Disable

#9 Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS): Recommendation?

#10. Cooling fan(s) settings: My fans are set to turn on with ignition

#11 Knock sensor: High compression, and high lift cams can create chatter that will be picked up by the sensor. Knock sensor may need to be disabled in certain combinations.

#12. Speed limiter: Default is 255 mph / or specify desired speed.

#13. RPM limiter: Default is 10,000 RPM / I recommend limiting it to 800 rpm over peak horsepower expected.

#14. What type of ECM: Speed Density 1990 ECM # 1227730 (same thing as 727 right?)

If anything seems off let me know.

Edit: I think the injectors are actually Delphi. The 22# silver and black injectors on FIC.com are Delphi

That was easy.

http://www.scotthansen.net/christian95sburn.bin

Note:
Modified spark table
Zero'd PE spark advance
Cylinder volume set to 785 for 383
No VATS
No EGR
flowrate stock at 22.1 lbs

Start fuel pressure at 46 lbs with no vacuum attached, and adjust until blm's are close to 128, or modify flowrate until they come close to 128.

You're awesome! That was quick! I think I miss understood on the flow rate though. I don't have an adjustable FPR. Or did you mean adjust the flow rate in the bin?

Run and log the file, and if it's still lean you, or I can modify the flowrate in the bin under constants.

I've done this a few times. Look at all the Moates pens in the cup on my desk. I buy chips 20 at a time. I enjoy helping you, so you're welcome.

My BLM's were 128 until closed loop and then it mostly stayed around 138. Here's a pic at almost WOT. My Knock count was at 10 and at idle I heard some clatter

Is your base timing at 6 degrees? Not bad, and slightly lean.

Good point! I probably need to reset my timing. My throttle response was much better and my idle was mostly stable, makes me feel a lot better about driving it.

Edit: Oh and almost forgot, I need to make my injector flow rate lower right?

Check timing, and give me an idea of blm at idle, part throttle cruise at 30 mph and highway speed. I'll adjust flowrate and we'll nail it.

Will do! Thanks so much for the help! I don't know if I'll get to do much driving tonight since it's getting late but tomorrow I've gotta run to the parts store to get an intake gasket set and that's a good 25-30 minute drive so I can get a good look at all ranges.
