Charging the battery
I'm sure this question has been asked before. My '86 does not always get driven every day. If it sits a week or two, is it advisable to bring the battery up to full charge? Can I leave the terminals connected or is it best to remove one? I am using a 6 amp charger.

Buy a Battery Tender for your car. It usually cost about $40-50 or so. You can keep your battery connected to the car and keep the battery tender connected and plugged into the wall outlet. It will keep the battery always full, thereby helping the battery last longer. It's very bad to let a battery drain totally.

Harbor Frieght sell battery tender for much less than 50 dollars and the work great. Used them on my boat and RV; saves the battery hassle.
