got rid of all ac parts, but the condenser fan I left hooked up thinking it would help keep radiator cooler , its not causing any problems but you can hear it when its on , since the condenser is gone does anyone think this fan is helping keep car cooler or should I just take it out of the loop and remove it -
In the 28+ years I've had my car I've only seen the front fan come on ONE TIME. That was when I had a head gasket leak and the coolant would get really hot after driving for a while and then idling.
The stock fan switch turns on the fan at 238°. Do you have an aftermarket fan switch with a lower temperature? If not, then you have serious cooling issues.
My car usually runs around 205° to 210° (stock 195° thermostat). It will go up to 230° on a hot day (over 100°) with the AC on.
....... my 88 runs at around 180 - and I do have lower switch and sensor -
I have no problems with heat - its just the slight louder noise the condenser fan puts out when running ,
im just wondering if its a benefit or pointless to let it remain hooked up to help the radiator out -
im not sure if its even worth keeping hooked up , but im curious to hear others opinons

My 88 runs 170-180 while cruising and lots of air is coming through the radiator. On HOT days here in the desert 193-200 cruising. Of course the fan comes on when the A/C is turned on but anytime the temps get up the A/C is on. The summer temps are here in a week or so. I won't drive it during the day. Early morning hours or after the sun goes down. I would leave the auxillary fan if I were you. You never know when the car might be sitting and running then any little bit can help get a few degrees cooler.
my condenser fan not radiator fan , comes on about 160 -
my car usually doesn't get over 200 in temp unless idleing long times at lights on a 90 degree day -
and yes I have a cooler sensor and switch
